At present, the Faculty of Law provides to students a three-year bachelor study in the study field of law with conferral of academic degree “bakalár/bachelor” (“Bc”) and a two-year master study with conferral of academic degree “magister/masters” (“Mgr.”).
The Faculty of Law of Trnava University in Trnava is entitled to execute examina rigorosa in order to acknowledge academic degree “doctor of law” (“JuDr.”), and is also entitled to perform PhD study in respective fields and acknowledge academic degree “philosophiae doctor” (“PhD.”).
The faculty has also received right to execute habilitation procedure and acknowledge scientific pedagogical degree “lecturer”, and inauguration procedure and acknowledge scientific pedagogical degree “professor” in respective fields.
The Faculty of Law of Trnava University in Trnava represents a centre of legal education and scientific research in the field of state and law with an emphasis on moral principles of Christianity and primary democratic principles of rule of law. It is likewise oriented on study, interpretation and application of Slovak public law, Slovak private law, international law and European law.
