The objective of the faculty is to prepare academically educated workers for nursing care, rehabilitation, public health care, hygiene service and social care facilities in the spirit of Christianity and humanism.
The study at faculty is performed on all three levels of education. At present, the faculty provides education in 6 accredited study programmes: Public Health Care, Social Work, Nursing and Laboratory Investigation Methods (Bc., Mgr. PhD.), Social Work in Health Care (Bc.) and Management and Organisation of Social Welfare Services (Mgr.).
Already since its foundation, the faculty has been actively developing foreign relations and developed and manages several humanitarian and development projects in Africa. Their main goal is provision of health and social aid to the weakest social groups. The faculty also established its separate unit in Africa where students and teachers are sent within project activities.
After completion of study, graduates can work as experts or research workers in the field of disease primary prevention or in the field of environment and workplace.
