A fully European university: We have set up an international consortium with partners from Portugal, France and Turkey
The Universities forming the KreativEU consortium agreed to the common goal of establishing a fully European University, aimed at creating a long-term institutional structural and strategic cooperation, for the implementation of a competitive and attractive educational model for the enhancement of the European cohesion by fostering its artistic and cultural diversity, linking education, research, innovation and service to society.
This network will be built on a shared vision on the importance of the European cultural and artistic diversity as a driver of cohesion and educational, economic, political, social, and scientific innovation and development. In a word: the proposed network aims at creating a new high quality and outstanding educational product, based on the promotion and assimilation of several local and national cultural traditions, crafts, and folklore, not usually connected or taught in an inclusive and European broader perspective
KreativEU: Protecting cultural heritage in a broad European context
KreativEU is a network of universities that share the same vision of the importance of Europe's cultural heritage. They want to launch an exceptional quality educational product that introduces local and national cultural traditions, crafts and folklore - to be taught in a broader European perspective.
KreativEU is to bring a number of interesting outputs, such as joint transnational and interdisciplinary bachelor's, master's or PhD. programs, joint multicultural summer schools, public lectures or lifelong learning. An international art incubator is planned.
Striving for a common and shared cultural identity based on respect, protection, improvement, dissemination and re-use of local, national and regional European artistic diversity is one of the most pressing challenges for the coming years, the founders say. "The fact that we founded this international consortium is a confirmation of the internationalization and further development of our university," says the Vice-Rector of Trnava University for Foreign Relations prof. Milos Lichner SJ.
